Community Technology Network Website

CTN’s website provides Bay Area technology centers with an interactive online space in which they can connect and build community through user-generated content.

The CTN website features an interactive map and directory of over 100 computer labs in San Francisco. This online, searchable directory presents information about center schedules, training resources, lesson plans, information about sustainability, links to fundraising websites for center managers, a calendar of events and a space for sharing videos and projects created by the community. CTN will expand the directory beyond San Francisco in late 2009 – making it the most comprehensive and thorough database of technology and computer centers in the Bay Area.

Lab managers throughout the Bay Area can upload to the CTN website profiles of their own technology centers. Center profile pages present general information about the center, including hours of operation and types of services offered. By sharing the link to their center’s profile page on the CTN website, lab managers can easily promote upcoming classes and recruit volunteers. Volunteers seeking to help share their knowledge can also search for and sign up for opportunities within these labs.
